Summary, etc 7 Ağustos, 1974’de, Philippe Petit isimli genç bir Fransız o zamanın en yüksek binaları olan New York şehrinin ikiz kuleleri arasında gerilmiş telin üzerine ilk adımını attı. Telin üzerinde yaklaşık bir saat dans ettikten sonra tutuklanıp psikolojik değerlindirmeden geçip kısa süre sonra salıverilmek üzere hapse atıldı. Petit, altı ay kulelerin hayalini kurmuş ve New York’ta geçirdiği sekiz ay boyunca da projeyi gerçekleştirmek için çalışmıştı.
