Summary, etc Litvanya’da Sovyet yetimhanesinde kalan on altı yaşındaki Hannibal Lecter yetimhanedeki arkadaşlarıyla anlaşamamaktadır. Geceleri kız kardeşiyle ilgili korkunç kabuslar gören Hannibal sonunda yetimhaneden kaçar ve amcasının yaşadığı Paris’e gider. Fakat Hannibal, Lecter Şatosu’na geldiğinde amcasının ölmüş olduğunu keşfeder. Amcasının dul eşi Murasaki Shibuku ona evini açar ve bu gizemli kadın onu, yemek, müzik ve resim hakkında eğitir. Fakat Hannibal bir türlü onu kovalayan geçmişinden ve gördüğü korkunç kabuslardan kurtulamamaktadır.
