36'sı erkek, 48 kadın ve 60 çocuk 144 kişiydiler. 144 Osmanoğlu... 3 Mart 1924 günü Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi tarafından çıkarılan 431 sayılı kanunla Türkiye'den çıkarıldılar. Sirkeci Tren Garı'ndan 1924'ün 5 mart akşamı bir tren kalktı. 20.45'te trenin çalan düdüğü, altı asır boyunca üç kıtanın tarihini yazmış bir ailenin bu toprakları terk etmesinin ilanıyda. Artık ne vatanları vardı, ne de saltanatları. Bundan sonra tarihi başkaları yazacaktı. Onların tarihi ise bambaşka yazılacaktı. |
