Yeni bir şehre atanan genç ve başarılı mühendis Alain Getty, karısı Benedicte ile birlikte yeni patronunu ve eşini yemeğe davet eder. Fakat bu iki çift birbirinden çok farklıdır. Alain ve Benedicte biribiriyle ne kadar uyumlu bir çiftse, patron ve eşi bir o kadar uyumsuz, içleri nefret ve hınçla dolmuş bir çifttir. Bu uyumsuzluk Alain'in karısıyla olan ilişkisinide olumsuz etkilemiştir. Bu feci akşam yemeğinde, bir de mutfağın atık borusunda ortaya çıkan esrarengiz kemirgen leşi, Alain ve Benedicte'i şimdiye kadar alışık oldukları düzgün hayatlarından çok farklı bir hayat akışı beklediğinin habercisi gibi gözükmektedir. |
