Summary, etc Khumba, vücudunun sadece ön bölümünde zebra çizgileri olan ve zebra çizgilerine takıntılı bir sürüde dogan talihsiz bir hayvandır. Küçük Zebra, kısa süre içerisinde bu haberin duyulmasıyla lanetli olarak adlandırılır. Sürüdeki diger zebralara göre, yasadıkları Great Karoo'da meydana gelen ve tüm canlı yasamını tehdit altına alan susuzluk Khumba'nın yüzündendir. Zira bu bölgeye çok uzun zamandır yagmur yagmamaktadır. Söylentiler hızla yayılır ve artık sürünün lideri olan öz babası dahi Khumba'nın lanetli olduguna ve bölgeyi terk etmesi gerektigine karar verir. Baskılara karsı koyma gücü olmayan Khumba, kaybolan diger çizgilerini bulmak için cesaret gerektiren bir yolculuga çıkacaktır. Bu yolculuk esnasında kendisine yardım etmeye çalısan ilginç karakterlerle tanıssa da Phango isimli kötü leoparla karsılasması isleri bir hayli zora sokacaktır.
