30'lu yaşlardaki Aidan Bloom, para kazanabilmek için çabalayan bir aktör ve iki çocuklu bir aile babası olsa da halen daha gerçek kimliğini bulabilmenin peşindedir. Üst üste oyunculuk seçmelerine katılır ancak bir türlü aradığı rolü bulamaz. Öte yandan aile hayatında da sorumluluklarını yerine getirdiği pek söylenemez. Aidan'ın tek ihtiyacı yaşamak için gerçek bir amaca sahip olabilmekken çocuklarının eğitimini dahi eşi Sarah'nın babası üstlenmektedir. Ancak yaşlı ve hasta adam eğitim masraflarını ödeyemeyecek duruma gelince çift için ciddi bir maddi sıkıntı dönemi başlar. Aidan son çare olarak çocuklarını evde eğitmeye karar verir. Bu eğitimi çocuklarının gerçek hayatı tanıması ve öğrenmesi için bir yol olarak görse de zaman içerisinde keşfettiği ve tanıdığı şey bizzat kendisi olur... Zach Braff'ın yönetmenliğini üstlendiği filmin başrollerinde Josh Gad, Kate Hudson ve Jim Parsons yer alıyor. |

'Wish I Was Here' is the story of Aidan Bloom, a struggling actor, father and husband, who at 35 is still trying to find his identity; a purpose for his life. He winds up trying to home school his two children when his father can no longer afford to pay for private education and the only available public school is on its last legs. Through teaching them about life his way, Aidan gradually discovers some of the parts of himself he couldn't find. |
