Fakat Macbeth bununla yetinmeyecektir. Eline geçen güçle gitgide yalnızlaşan ve en yakın dostlarından bile şüphelenecek kadar paranoyaklaşan yeni Kral, kendisine engel gördüğü herkesi ortadan kaldırmaya kararlıdır. Shakespeare'in İskoçya kökenli General Macbeth’in hikayesini temel alan, dünya klasikleri arasına girmiş tiyatro oyunu Macbeth’in yeni bir uyarlaması olan film, iktidar için oynanan entrikaları, ihanetleri ve taht kavgalarını konu alıyor. Filmin yönetmenliğini Justin Kurzel üstlenirken başrollerinde Michael Fassbender ve Marion Cotillard yer alıyor.
Summary, etc Macbeth, the Thane of Glamis, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne for himself.
