Jess is coordinator of the Botanical Art and Illustration Certificate program at The New York Botanical Garden, where she began her career as an illustrator for Dr. Arthur Cronquist. She recently retired as the executive director of the American Society of Botanical Artists. Robin developed her love for art and botany at the University of Delaware and subsequently earned an MA from Pratt Institute. In 1990, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts awarded her a Distinguished Artist Fellowship. She began painting New Jersey's Pinelands flora, culminating in the traveling exhibition, Protecting the Pinelands through Art, funded by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.
